About Laker

We go far and wide for our beans. They are the culmination of a journey that started in Lac La Ronge and ended in Edmonton, with stops around the world, to find the perfect mixture of flavour profiles, roasts, and blends. 

Our current stock includes four roasts with something for everyone.

Established in the summer of 2019, Laker Coffee Co. is your Alberta Proud go to for high-quality, hand-selected small batch coffee online, or in our amazing custom built trailer.

Created by Chris McPhee, who has been a successful carpenter for over ten years, the mobile coffee trailer will be a jumping off point for Laker Coffee, while it establishes itself as a purveyor of high-end speciality brew and quality beans. 

OUR MISSION

Laker Coffee’s mission is about quality. Our partners have travelled the world and developed a quality-focused—and sustainable—relationship with some of the world’s best coffee bean farms, from Costa Rica to Asia. We aim to bring this world-class coffee to a growing coffee community in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. We want high-quality coffee to be accessible and available to the people of downtown YEG and we want to be the ones to provide that coffee.  We want to give our customers a unique and memorable coffee experience that they will remember and return to. We want to be that little moment of enjoyment, a momentary reprieve, that you experience during your day.
